Punarvasu Nakshatra

About Punarvasu Nakshatra

Punarvasu is the seventh Nakshatra among the 27 Nakshatras. It consists of two stars. Jupiter directs the life force towards 10°00′–20°00′ of Gemini, and the Nakshatra extends into Cancer.

The name Punarvasu means “to return again” or “Good again.” Its main symbol is a bow and arrow. The arrow represents desire, ambition, movement and the ability to move forward towards a goal. The native generally tries to complete any work undertaken with great care and caution.

The natives of Punarvasu have a strong desire to learn and understand things. They may be interested in philosophy, spirituality, education and knowledge. They may also have an interest in fine arts, teaching and politics. They may possess the ability to make an impact in their chosen field.

Because of Jupiter, the native may have a round face, broad forehead and large eyes. The native may be fond of food, cheerful, sociable and interested in entertainment. They generally remain peaceful and patient and may be particularly sympathetic towards their own family members.

They may also be supportive towards women who are in difficult circumstances and may possess the ability to help others come out of difficult situations. Their sense of completeness and spirit of service may become important characteristics in practical life.

When Punarvasu is adversely affected, the native may become self-centred, selfish or spiteful. They may criticise others, lose confidence in themselves and doubt their own abilities. They may consider themselves helpless and may sometimes make efforts that reduce their own confidence.
